Onra

Today was a beautiful day at the park.
A little cloudy aka partly sunny.
Slight chill with a hint of warmth.

Anyhow this is a bangin' new track by ONRA!
As Greek Spot Greg says: "Big Tune".

This particular New Order video is a special time capsule of NYC. Among other things, it features Arthur Baker, producer of the song and countless others (i.e.- "Planet Rock"), doing the classic head-nod. Awesome imagery and storyline of a young girl trying to have fun a la Debbie Deb.

*Name 3 of the locations in the video and win nothing (because I sure don't know the locations either, but I know some NYC heads do).

Fast forward 15+ years... Holy Ghost! puts together a great remake of the New Order video, with an always interesting yet new look at NYC. But is it so different? Probably. What is the same though (*a lot?), besides the fact that Arthur Baker is still in the video! Sick video and song. Check it out.

I have no credit in finding this song, but it's dope!
It's like Tom Tom Club meets The Clash meets the I in Disco.

Volcanic Ash Wednesday

Rare Dub/Reggae mix outta Pittsburgh. The homie DJ Spaed: "Classic roots, rockers, and lots of Dub Reggae here! Another DJ mix live on the wheels of steel all in one take with live effects layered!" The way he said it was in ALL CAPS though. -Jag
